Organization News
The Center for Missional Worship is structured to give individualized hands-on help to churches, pastors, worship leaders and other worship personnel (paid or volunteer) with tools, resources, knowledge and encouragement to highly upgrade the quality of existing worship or begin and advance in unexplored ways with new styles or methods. Discipleship, evangelism, Spirit-filled worship, relevancy and retention of both visitors and members are primary goals.  All this is done within the framework of what is biblical, practical and workable in the context of the talent God has brought to your church (or will bring with prayer and His blessing) and the neighborhood(s) in which you (and/or present or future satellites) minister as salt and light.

Previously, pastor/musician/church planter Rev. Mike Zehnder provided this unique worship consultation ministry through the Center for United States Missions, located on the campus of Concordia University in Irvine, California and supported by the university and various synodical agencies and missional individuals.  Now fully independent of the Irvine-based ministry, the Center for Missional Worship in Phoenix (Chandler) Arizona takes up the banner for this unique worship consultation ministry.   The Center for Missional Worship provides and even multiplies the same quality worship consultations, training and resources as before, including the informative, popular and free (!) e-newsletter resource "Worship Beat."  Office and headquarters are located on the spacious campus of Epiphany Lutheran Church near the intersection of the 101 and 202 freeways in Chandler, Arizona, a close suburb of Phoenix and only 20 minutes from the airport.

For experiential, hands-on worship retreats or worship field trips the Center for Missional Worship is located near some of the most creative, relevant, enculturated and successful worship outreach ministry models in the United States.

Starting a new worship service or style or improving on what you have...
Worship Consultation Services are available to individual churches, pastors, worship leaders, team members and others as well as missional entities and adjudicatories, conferences and seminars through a fee-based and grant structure.

The descriptions above are merely meant to provide brief information on this worship consultation ministry.  Please check back very soon for a much fuller description and complete information on this website.  Meanwhile, you can use the contact information below.  Many churches, worship leaders, team members, pastors, elders and others have already experienced Zehnder's worship consultation ministry before and during his tenure at the Center in Irvine and a number of their unsolicited testimonials will appear on these pages.
